Synopsis: 
Set during the Song Dynasty, a Mongolian soccer team made up of members with superpowers kill the soldiers of the opposing team`s country under the guise of a normal soccer match. The defeated team is then forced to give up their land. One day, the Mongolians publicly challenge Emperor Song`s country to a match. Caring about his citizens, the Emperor is left with no choice but to accept. He holds a national competition to find the best players to go against the Mongolian team. The Emperor`s daughter, Princess Chang Ping, leaves the palace, determined to form her own soccer team made up of the eight greatest martial arts sects.

宋朝年間, 蒙古國仗以奇人異士強大的蹴鞠隊, 以比賽為名, 在球場上殺盡對方兵將為實, 迫使戰敗國割地賠 償。一日, 蒙古終向大宋發出挑戰。奸臣秦奴建議征收稅款向蒙古進貢以避免一戰, 實質想將稅收中飽私囊, 遭 忠臣劉晉極力反對。宋皇愛民如子, 苦無辦法下只好接受挑戰並展開全國選拔賽。 公主長平愛國愛民, 見在朝上無法對抗奸臣秦奴, 於是前往民間, 幾經辛苦請得八大掌門組成蹴鞠隊。除八大門 派外, 有一個小門派－茅山派掌門茅次朗亦希望加入蹴鞠隊。可惜他不懂武功, 遭長平公主及八大掌門看輕。另 一邊, 秦奴收買了鳳凰山山賊, 計劃劫持公主。
