Synopsis:
Based on true events. A young man is charged with drug trafficking. He pleads guilty under undue influence from his defense lawyer, in exchange for a reduced sentence. Hard-edged former cop Fok (Donnie Yen) is the unconventional prosecutor assigned to the case. He becomes convinced that the conviction is unusual and decides to conduct his own investigation. Fok is forced to risk his own life and career to uncover the truth and bring the real villains to justice.

根據真實案件改編。青年馬家杰在一無所知的情況下被指販賣毒品，其辯護律師表面正義，實際誤導馬家杰認罪以換取真兇無罪釋放。檢察官霍子豪發現當中端倪，毅然以一己之力暗中調查，奈何愈揭愈深，發現背後竟牽涉一個龐大的犯罪團體。霍子豪不惜以自己的職業生涯和生命安全作冒險，堅持還無辜者清白，並以真相將真正罪犯繩之以法，成功守住了律政司的公信力和法律的威嚴，同時避免一次重大的誤判。
